Your system is maybe just really borked, and you need to clean it out and 
start fresh.  What is wwsympa.bak.fcgi?  It should be running wwsympa.fcgi, 
unless you've done some manual renaming and repointing of scriptaliases and 
such -- but if you don't know what the .bak file is either, that's a bad sign.
