Sympa debian package uses debconf for initial configuration/setup.

If you do not care about debconf questions in initial install, then do
configuration by hand, at every package upgrade debconf answers get the
precedence (and sympa.conf file restored).
I doubt data (eg, database, message forlders, ...) get lost.

I've hit the same trouble because i've answer debconf initial options on the
main domain and not on the subdomain i use for the lists.
But fixing the sympa.conf (and debconf database) solves the trouble.

Still seems to me a sympa packaging bug: if i modify by hand a file, debconf
have to note that and not modify them...
