Nope, I didn’t see that, I read the readme’s that came in the distribution. Oh well, I got it going and it has been working for me since this weekend.

Hi Tim,

Did you you follow the upgrade instructions I wrote here: https://www.sympa.org/faq/upgrade-to-v6.2

It specifies explicitely to run sympa.pl --upgrade_config_location before sympa.pl --upgrade.

If you did and still had the problem, then it's a bug.

I figured it out. The config file sympa.conf moved from /etc/sympa.conf to /etc/sympa/sympa.conf. After that (and a bug fix you saw in another email), I was able to get the upgrade going.

Anyone run into this problem when running sympa.pl --upgrade?

 

sympa@ip-10-171-1-49:~/bin$ ./sympa.pl --upgrade
Can't use an undefined value as a HASH reference at /home/sympa/bin/Conf.pm line 205.

 

If not I’ll put in a ticket on it.

 

I’m having the worst time with sympa ☹ The stable release hasn’t been stable, so I’m trying the beta but failed to upgrade at the final step.
