This is really up to you so i have to give you some keys to make your
mind up (those comes with random order and without links):

* we already agreed (on this list?) that git is a good move. however
  RENATER would like to host it on sourcesup. i have no pro and lot of
  cons about it (i really would like to use a RENATER service but
  sourcesup has too many flows)

* your github mirror isn't related to the IT department of Strasbourg
  University, this is a rise of a Strasbourg University sympa community
  and we have some NGO to support us. But i have to be honest: i don't
  know how far they will support. I just think that we could get more
  firepower than RENATER for now.

* we really expect a lot of big changes to comme in the dev branch
  and have no idea how we will push the code back to RENATER. But
  frankly: this is a no wayback and there is plenty of reasons for
  that. I really think sympa should be much better but it's time
  to kiss the old code goodbye to enlist newcomers and make our lives
  easier. For example: we are trying to replace the old web stack by a
  Dancer2 app.

So if you just want to provide fixes, please contribute to the RENATER
svn (i will try to merge them in the github). If you want to contribute
to our initiative, maybe we can talk on this list. No matter what:
contributions are welcome.
