As a general rule, I found that setting any size limits to 30% of desired
outcomes accommodates the size variances as messages go through various
conversations.

Hello Betty,

you are sure that is rejected by Sympa? It could be the mailserver in
front of Sympa.

The encoding shouldn't increase the size that much.
