[Sorry, i came back on this topic, revamping it, because all my followups
get rejected by listserver... boh...]

I've upgraded and moved sympa to a new debian server, copying all stuff (db,
spool, conf).

I've also copied /etc/sympa/cookie, and i can login flawlessy into the
server. But sympa every day complain about:

Dec 3 06:53:15 armitage sympa[17171]: err tools::cookie_changed()
Unable to create /etc/sympa/cookies.history

if i create, even empty, a /etc/sympa/cookies.history, sympa bombs out:

Dec 2 06:39:45 armitage sympa[10992]: sympa.conf/cookie parameter
has changed. You may have severe inconsitencies into password storage.
Restore previous cookie or write some tool to re-encrypt password in database
and check spools contents (look at /etc/sympa/cookies.history file)

probably i've to create /etc/sympa/cookies.history with some content inside,
but what?

The subject came from the fact that i've found no reference on
/etc/sympa/cookies.history file on docs, so i'm thinking it is a specific
debian modification...

Anyway, thanks.
