Try setting cookie_expire to something a bit larger than 0.  Seems it is 
expiring immediately... although 0 is supposed to mean 'forever'.

From your logs, you see that the cookie is being re-created each time; this 
would indicate that it is failing validation.  If the clocks are correct 
(check they both have the correct timezone as well) then what else could 
cause it?  Do you have any intermediate transparent proxy that might be 
stripping the cookies?  Are you accessing the host with a different URL 
hostname than the cookie domain?  Maybe switch on the debug logging for 
wwsympa (also in sympa.conf) , and see if this gives any clues about cookie 
validation.  Test from a different browser or client, in case a privacy 
plugin is stripping the cookies.  No other reasons come to mind immediately.
