Hello everyone,
I've recently run into an issue with a subset of lists that do a remote-file
include from a web resource (an HTTP URL).
I'm running Sympa 6.1.16.
The issue is, when a list admin tries to review members, they get an internal
server error. According to the logs, the error is because of a lockfile issue:
Aug 6 10:07:10 lists wwsympa[9950]: info List::_include_users_remote_file()
include 189 new subscribers from remote file http://<REMOTE_URL>
Aug 6 10:07:10 lists wwsympa[9950]: notice Lock::_lock_file() Waiting for
write lock on /opt/sympa/list_data/<LIST_NAME>/include.lock
Aug 6 10:07:20 lists wwsympa[9950]: err Lock::_lock_file() Failed locking /
opt/sympa/list_data/<LIST_NAME>/include.lock: Resource temporarily unavailable
The members do refresh, but I can't seem to stop it from happening. There are
two lists that exhibit this problem pretty reliably (though, still,
intermittently).
The path "/opt/sympa/list_data" is not on an NFS mount, it's a local file
system.
The OS is CentOS 6.4, and was recently patched (within the last 2 months).
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance,
Matt Riedel
