okay!!i have found the problem, PERMISSIONSthe archived.pl have wrong 
permissions.the group an user was root.i have found that in this archive from 
year 2009!!!the archived.pl must have 755 and user/group must be sympa.but 
the sympa init script is starting archived.pl with success???possibly it's a 
bug???should the init script check the permissions??Sven
