Hello all,

I’ve tried searching for this but can’t seem to find any other people with the same problem.

About once every week or two some of our sympa spool directories get deleted.  Examples include ‘bad’, ‘topic’, ‘auth’, ‘bounce’, etc.  We’ll see messages like this:

Feb  7 10:02:52 lists01 bounced[11737]: Can't open dir /apps/sympa/spool/bounce: No such file or directory

Feb  7 10:07:16 lists01 sympa[5597]: tools::CleanSpool() Unable to open '/apps/sympa/spool/auth' spool : No such file or directory

Feb  7 10:07:16 lists01 sympa[5597]: tools::CleanSpool() Unable to open '/apps/sympa/spool/topic' spool : No such file or directory

We’re currently on the latest version (6.0.1) running on linux/rhel5/64bit.  We’ve seen this problem off and on since the 6.0 beta.  A restart or manual creation fixes the problem for some time, but eventually the directories start disappearing again.

Is there a bug tracking this or some solution?  I can’t imagine we are the only site seeing this behavior as the only thing running on this machine is sympa itself.  I can’t see anything outside of the sympa software doing this.  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Travis Groth
