With respect to the issue of supporting multiple posting
addresses for a single subscriber, Serge recently
wrote in part:

The main need is to be able to accept a message in a private
list even if the message From: is an alias of one of the
subscribers and not exactly the email of a subscriber.

Is this a missing feature for all subscriber storage methods,
or only when the subscribers are stored in an LDAP?

We want to convert from ListProc to Sympa, but ListProc's
ability to define inbound address rewrite rules globally, as
well as on a per list basis, is an important feature for us.
We support several different e-mail systems so users will
often have two or more sending addresses. Perhaps the global
rewrite is a problem better solved in the MTA?
