The mailing list for listmasters using Sympa

Here is my output from running sympa after the steps you described:

 /opt/sympa/bin/sympa.pl -d
load: Unable to open /etc/sympa.conf: No such file or directory
List::send_notify_to_listmaster() List::send_notify_to_listmaster() :  
missing incoming parameter "$robot"
Log::fatal_err() Unable to send notify 'sympa died' to listmaster
Configuration file /etc/sympa.conf has errors.

I'm really confused as to why it is looking in /etc when I  
specifically pointed it to /opt/sympa with --prefix
