Sorry for the late answer.

This is part of the problem exposed int this bug report:

As you can see, we fixed it. However, as we fixed it in october 2007, it 
was not available in the 5.3.3 but in the 5.3.4.
If you don't want to install the 5.3.4, you can find the patch to the 
5.3.3 here:
