Both features are standard functions of Sympa :
  1. Sympa maintains archives of distributed messages ; original messages are kept, along with an HTML version produced by MHonarc. You can configure this for each list : 1) if archives should be kept 2) who can access archives on the web interface (using authorization scenarios) 3) a quota. Check http://www.sympa.org/doc/html/node22.html#SECTION002262000000000000000
  2. The 'remove_headers' parameter tells what SMTP header fields should be removed before distributing a message. You can extend the default list of header fields. See http://www.sympa.org/doc/html/node8.html#SECTION008414000000000000000

We are evaluating now moving away from an old an highly customized
installation of smartlist to sympa, but there's something we need that
cannot effort.

For now we need, simply, to archive messages as clean as possible (with
all the headers) but resend the message to subscribers after some
header munging, most notably Received: headers.

The first are needed for some sort of legal/forensic analisys, the
latter are needed because many MTA store any sort of valuable
information in headers that will be better to hide.

Sympa can do this? Someone can point me into the right doc link? ;-)
