Hi Olivier,

Actually, the version of 5.2.2 I downloaded a few days ago, was running wwsympa.fcgi rev 1.652.2.09.

I tried just downloading the .11 version from the CVS, but it doesn't seem to want to run. I got this from Apache:

[Tue Oct 03 20:12:20 2006] [warn] FastCGI: server "/home/sympa/bin/wwsympa.fcgi" has failed to remain running for 30 seconds given 3 attempts, its restart interval has been backed off to 600 seconds

Are there any dependencies that have also changed that also need to be updated?

Or... is there an easier way to update to the latest version of the stable branch (e.g., has the tared up version been updated to include this rev of wwsympa.fcgi?).

Thanks much,

Miles

Hi Miles,

Sorry if we answer late to this request.
There was a set of bugs related to web archives browsing in 5.2.1 and 5.2.2. They were introduced by a change to the mhonarc-ressources.tt2 file that allows to keep original filenames of attachements in web archives.
Here were the changes : http://sourcesup.cru.fr/cgi/viewcvs.cgi/sympa/src/etc/mhonarc-ressources.tt2?r1=1.27&r2=1.28

Related bugs were due to the file path being deeper for attachements (/sympa/arc/listx/yyyymm/msgxx/x.pdf)

Anyway, we had fixed the problem you have reported (earlier reported by V.Nilsen) in the development CVS branch but forgot to apply it on the 5.2.x stable branch. *We've now fixed the stable branch ; here is the patch :
http://sourcesup.cru.fr/cgi/viewcvs.cgi/sympa/wwsympa/wwsympa.fcgi?r1=1.652.2.10&r2=1.652.2.11&makepatch=1&diff_format=u

5.2.1 had a problem reading archive messages.

I applied the patch suggested on this list, which worked.

Just upgraded to 5.2.2, and everything continues to work.

But... one of my users discovered another archive bug, in 5.2.1, which seems
to still be there.

- going to the archive page for a list works just fine
- clicking on a message (now) brings up the message properly
but....
- clicking on any of the boxes to retrieve a specific month's archives, yields the error:
the file "" is of type application/octet-stream (Binary File) ..what should <browser> do with this file?
