Hello,
I added the patch suggested so I Added the lines

BEGIN {
Locale::Messages->select_package ('gettext_pp');
}

but nothing changes.
I still have the default en_US even if I change the locale option in sympa.conf
and I still can't change language in the menu...
any more hints ?

thanks

Riccardo

Hi Ricardo,

On some systems (FreeBSD, Debian), the "native" implementation of gettext() does not work.
We've fixed this in the CVS tree but did not release a 5.2.2 yet.
Here is the patch : http://sourcesup.cru.fr/cgi/viewcvs.cgi/sympa/src/Language.pm?only_with_tag=sympa-5_2-branch&r2=1.58.2.1&r1=1.58

Hello,
I have a problem wit sympa 5.2.1
I am running it on FreeBSD 6.1

When I open the home page of sympa in the menu language options
there is nothing related to various language selections but only empty spaces
in the menu.
The menu about languages is not working... but the package needed by sympa
to support internationalization
(sympap5-Locale-libintl-1.16 Internationalization library for Perl) is installed.
How can I fix this ?

thank you

Rick
