I configured my box using the "SUSE way" (when in Rome), which mean that
I did not touch the SUSE httpd.conf.

I edited /etc/sysconfig/apache2 and added mod_fcgid to APACHE_MODULES.

I created /etc/apache2/vhosts.d/vhost-lists.gurulabs.com-ssl.conf and
that is where I defined my "lists.gurulabs.com" server that included the
directives I sent before.

I suspect you didn't add the module to APACHE_MODULES.
