The mailing list for listmasters using Sympa

I tried to upgrade a production system from 5.1.2 to 5.2. I immediately ran
into problems and decided to roll the system back to its original config until
I worked them out. I made a copy of the original /home/sympa structure, and 
the
/var/lib/mysql/sympa databases as backups. When I removed the altered versions
and replaced them with originals, the website functions correctly but when I
try to send messages I get:

 to="| /home/sympa/bin/queue address@concealed",
ctladdr=<address@concealed> (8/0), delay=00:00:00, xdelay=00:00:00,
mailer=prog, pri=31388, dsn=5.0.0, stat=Insufficient permission

and the message bounces. What did I miss?
