Moving to 5.x requires that web version of archives are rebuilt because 
Sympa uses a different template system ([var] becomes [%var%] in the new 
TT2 format).

In your situation it looks like the mhonarc call failed. I suggest your 
try running it from the command like ; you might get more output this way.

I suppose your failure might be related to access rights or to incorrect 
parameter syntax...
