FWIW, I'd love to see this feature added but don't yet know enough about
SOAP to add it myself: a permissions checker, as in "Does user X have
permission to do Y on list Z?" Ie. an externalized version of the
List::request_action() routine. I think that should be easy, but I'm
not sure. Some day I'll learn SOAP and do it myself, but don't know
when.
