What does sympa.log say ?
To have maximum verbosity, run sympa.pl with -dD options.

No, there is no checkpoint for Sympa to continue delivery where it stopped.
Sympa deletes messages in the spool ones it was completely processed.
If the sending process is interrupted for some reason, the message remains
in the spool and will be processed from the first to the last subscriber.

If Sympa runs in -m mode, you can deduce the last "served" subscriber from the
log file and restart Sympa with a flat subscriber file (subscribers.db.dump
without "served" subscribers, renamed subscribers).
