David, I want to respond shortly.


I think "(my) doubts about RENATER" or "failure in last year of
RENATER" are not accurate understanding about current status of
them.

In fact, once RENATER have paused support to Sympa in a moment of
time in the past.  See this thread to know what occurred just after

However, do NOT misunderstand that I think RENATER, or person
employed by them, is not trustworthy.


I think RENATER's behavior above was reasonable.  If RENATER put
another person for Sympa soon, your directer was rather abnormal.

Because, there is _no_ SLA between RENATER and Sympa community.
RENATER may or may not provide or abort services for Sympa, because
it is not their primary mission.


That's why I hesitate to ask RENATER for support of infrastruscture.
We would be better to choose proper providers presenting SLA about
their services, GitHub, Netlify and so on.

Just only as a result by character of RENATER, their service is not
so comfortable (their servers respond slower than providers above).


In your post in Thursday, you described how RENATER have been
supported Sympa.  However by this post, we also know that RENATER
have shifted from infrastructure to human resource (empowerment).

Therefore, we have to stop slash-and-burn method by requesting them
for non-human resources.

I'll note again: RENATER is not a provider of application or
infrastructure, at least for development in generqal.

And, I ask RENATER folks in Sympa community: I don't expect you for
obtaining hardware resource from RENATER (someone can expect,
though ;-)).  Please thinking over what you contribute to community.


Addition:

Please try to investigate use of proper service providers (I tell a
few names in above).

Their services are enough to realize our plan, before thinkng
RENATER's help --- moreover, provide higher quality, isn't it?
