Pretty much.
Dot locking would be ideal since nfs lock managers are unreliable on some
implementations.
I'm trying to figure out what we need to lock.
If we run sympa.pl, task manager and archived.pl on one box and
the web front-end on a different box, we only need to lock config files.
If, on the other hand, we have several backend boxes, locking is somewhat
more complicated, but you're already doing it for sympa.pl at least, since
now you can run several sympa.pl processes...
