The mailing list for listmasters using Sympa

This may be a Microsoft problem not Sympa's but asking if you have any ideas/workarounds:

 

My users and security team have noticed that when an individual posts to a Sympa list their Outlook Display Name is in quotes, like

        From: address@concealed <address@concealed> On Behalf Of "Doe, Jane"

 

But when the posting address is from a delegated address (e.g., jdoe is allowed to post as treewarden) the On Behalf Of Display name is not in quotes, like

        From: address@concealed <address@concealed> On Behalf Of Tree Warden

 

They consider this a problem because per their security training recipients are concerned that the quoted name is a possible indication of phishing.

 

When I look at the headers of the received list posts I see \" 's in the FROM header of individual Outlook posters vs none in the delegated Outlook posts:

I think this is a Microsoft issue because I also tested posting from an individual Gmail account and a non-Gmail account with sending delegated to the Gmail account – neither of those resulted in quoted display name or \" s.

 

My idea for a workaround was if I could create a new dmarc_protection.phrase parameter = email_via_list which instead of including the Display Name (name_email_via_list) would only include the poster's email address. Where / can I add that as a new parameter choice?
