Hi Peter,

We have Sympa 6.2.68 installed from EPEL on RHEL 7.

When we try updating with recently released 6.2.72 (sympa-6.2.72-3.el7.x86_64, we hit a dependency issue.

The new Sympa depends on multiwatch (multiwatch.x86_64 0:1.0.0-3.el7) which in turn depend on libev which is unavailable:

Error: Package: multiwatch-1.0.0-3.el7.x86_64 (Brunel_University_London_EPEL_3rd_Party_Packages_EPEL_7_-_x86_64)

           Requires: libev.so.4()(64bit)

While I know RHEL 7has less than a year of support left, we wish to tackle one thing as a time.

So has anyone else had any luck in installing latest EPEL Sympa package on RHEL 7?

libev is available from the extras repository. You just have to enable this repository and sympa will install just fine on EL7.

Regards,
Xavier
