- Date: Tue, 22 Aug 2023 15:51:07 +0000
We have Sympa 6.2.68 installed from EPEL on RHEL 7.
When we try updating with recently released 6.2.72 (sympa-6.2.72-3.el7.x86_64, we hit a dependency issue. The new Sympa depends on multiwatch (multiwatch.x86_64 0:1.0.0-3.el7) which in turn depend on libev which is unavailable:
Error: Package: multiwatch-1.0.0-3.el7.x86_64 (Brunel_University_London_EPEL_3rd_Party_Packages_EPEL_7_-_x86_64) Requires: libev.so.4()(64bit)
While I know RHEL 7has less than a year of support left, we wish to tackle one thing as a time.
So has anyone else had any luck in installing latest EPEL Sympa package on RHEL 7?
