The mailing list for listmasters using Sympa

Dear Sympa Gurus:

Google has recently become very aggressive against members of our sympa 
list at Copernican U. in Thorn Poland.
I have been getting increasingly frequent warnings from sympa with the text:

'Bounce rate in list grex is 41.4. You should delete bouncing subscribers:'

and then a link to bounce management. I finally reset the count on all 
95 gmail members even though all were between 1 and 3. I think that the 
only way these members can see the postings is via the web interface to 
the archives.


One of the list masters sent me this explanation:

The list has been in operation since 1996 with membership varying 
between about 150 to 500. The only incidents since that time that could 
have been mistaken for spam activity were when someone inadvertently 
subscribed to the list and couldn' figure out how to unsubscribe.

The problem is that Google is not qualified to ascertain the "nature" of 
the content since it is in Latin. Is this something that Sympa can 
handle or is the ball in Google's court? Their suggestion seems to be 
that we move the discussion list to google groups. If google cannot fix 
this I will have to recommend that these users migrate to other email 
providers.
