Yes, it can work!

If you run the upgrade while specifying the versions, it will perform the task.

I would recommend running : sympa.pl --upgrade --from 6.2.32 --to 6.2.40.

And your config files should be parsed for their admins.

Cheers,

David

Normally, Sympa should reload all this automatically.

You can even delete the admin_table and Sympa will reload the configs and
recreate it.

Now, if you have a post-6.2.34 version, then Sympa no longer uses the owners
and editors in the config files. You need to run an upgrade to move these
data to the database. (sympa.pl --upgrade --from 6.xxx --to 6.yyy)
Hmm, I'm using 6.2.40 from Debian 10. I tried renaming admin_table out of the
way and restarting sympa, and it wasn't recreated.

And since this is a 6.2.40 recovery, the "sympa --upgrade" doesn't work
because
it's already at 6.2.40 :/

Cheers,
Dave
