I could easily do this using procmail, but I'm thinking that perhaps it might be a nice feature to have a configurable auto-response for whenever the list '-request' address receives mail.  Because the '-request' address is by default used as the envelope sender for posts to a list, we often see people accidentally sending their posts to this '-request' address rather than the list itself.  So, perhaps a simple auto-responder for posts to this address might be useful?  Something along the lines of:

    Thank you for contact the admins of list X.  Note, if you intended to post
    to list X, please just use the address: X@....

Would just need to add an X-header to prevent mail loops, but that should be simple.
