The mailing list for listmasters using Sympa

Well, I knew a ministry in France which ran several lists of 1.4 
millions subscribers.

Obviously, these were information lists, not discussion lists: only a 
handful of people were allowed to write to them.

The mails were distributed in a few hours if I recall correctly.
