Hi there,

here is an issue which has more to do with your
mail program but could perhaps (also) be addressed in
SYMPA (6.2.16).

A moderator receives an e-mail to distribute or reject like this:

...
<mailto:address@concealed?subject=DISTRIBUTE%20xyz-uvw%30de7c43bc6578c2515cb9c18961c0f798>

...

Clicking the link, the Mailer creates a subject like "DISTRIBUTE xyz-uvw
30.....798>".
Note the trailing ">" character; in this case the mail client was Thunderbird
but
it happend using our WebUI as well.

Sending an e-mail with this subject (trailing ">") results in something like

List '' does not exist.

and nothing else happens. This is misleading the moderator and
may be handled by SYMPA in more robust way, as the trailing ">"
seems to disturb the recognition of the list name in the
"Subject:" line.

Best regards
Dirk

BTW: removing the ">" manually from the subject leads to the correct
SYMPA action. We alterd the according /etc/sympa/mail_tt2/moderate.tt2
to remove the "<" and ">" characters around the mailto link, so everything
works for us.
