I may be wrong, but I think the culprit may be GMail.

I have noticed in the past, with one-time-tickets, that GMail will follow embedded links in an email to scan them for phishing or viruses.  This is normally not a problem, but can result in one-time tickets becoming invalid, and can trigger unsubscribe links.

The way we managed to get around it in our Sympa installation, and in a one-time pickup system we had, was to make the link go to an intermediate page where you then click to confirm unsubscribe.  It makes the process a bit more awkward, but gets around the look-ahead problem.

There are also some other webmail or mail-reader-plugins that do similar things for antivirus etc
