Actually, I'm looking for the answer to this too. So far it looks like merge_feature doesn't touch the mail headers at all, including the "To:" header.

Currently with merge_feature off, the To: field gets set to
To: "News@lists. domain. org" <address@concealed>Note the spaces! Where do those come from?
In any case, I'd like it to be addressed to the recipient.
To: "<address@concealed>"
Or, better, use the gecos name if it is set, if not then the email address.
How can I accomplish this?
