I already did that. The message files were renamed to have a ".distribute" suffix and archive directories were created, all in the moderation directory. But the messages were never sent.

Mar 1 14:15:47 cuelists wwsympa[2909]: info [robot cuelists.ysu.edu] [session 5110545556930] [client 150.134.8.36] [user address@concealed] [list ysu049-students-digest-list] main::do_distribute() do_distribute(ca69d76f0f2c9b878a314928fb85a3ee)

Mar 1 14:15:52 cuelists sympa[3680]: info main::DoSendMessage() Message for address@concealed sent

After moderation a message was sent to address@concealed containing QUIET DISTRIBUTE commands. However, I had redirected the "sympa" alias to root. Where should "sympa" go?
Thanks,
John

I stopped and started services. The messages are still in the
"moderation" directory. The "distribute" and "digest" directories are
still empty. I'm not seeing any messages in the local SMTP logs either.

If they're in the moderation queue the listowner has to approve them before
they'll be queued for list handling. Moderation can be done from the web
interface if you login as the list owner and select admin on the list. The
"Moderate" options on the left should be populated with the number of messages
waiting for approval.
