Definitely -

I recently had to change ownership on about 50 lists after a staff member
left.

I thought for about 3 seconds about doing it via the web UI, then sanity took
hold and i started editing config files.

I'll note that if you are using the binary config cache, you must rebuild it
after manually editing config files: sympa.pl --reload_list_config
