Hello,

I am trying to configure a sympa installation to use an ldap
directory, and am receiving an error. I have checked the documentation
as well as the FAQ for further information but found none. Does
anybody know how I could debug the following further:

Upon a login attempt from wwsympa, the output in /var/log/sympa/sympa.log 
reads:

LDAPSource::connect() Unable to connect to the LDAP server 
'name_of_server:port'

while on the LDAP server, the output in syslog is:

ber_get_next on fd 17 failed errno=34 (Numerical result out of range)

I have looked at the slapd documentation which recommends to increase
two sockbuf values in slapd.conf. However, increasing these values has
not worked.

It seems to me that a proper connection is not established at any point.
