Hi Paul,
Yes, all you need to do in Sympa to create a virtual host is to create its two directories (etc/foo.org/ and expl/foo.org) along with its robot.conf file (etc/foo.org/robot.conf).
And, yes, the name of the directory corresponds to the name of the virtual host.
For more informations, please refer to the dedicated documentation: https://www.sympa.org/manual/virtual-hosts#how_to_create_a_virtual_host

Dear readers,
I am not able to figure out how to do this. I want to set up two
domains.
foo.org
bar.org
The addresses of the list should be for example
address@concealed
address@concealed
and the URLs for WWSympa
lists.foo.org/wws
lists.bar.org/wws
How can I do this? In the robot.conf files I only found the parameters
## This hostname will be compared with 'SERVER_NAME' ENV var in wwsympa.fcgi
## To deduce which Virtual Robot is being queried
http_host lists.foo.org/wws
## The base URL of WWSympa;
wwsympa_url https://lists.foo.org/wws
Since http_host is compared with SERVER_NAME, I can *not* set
http_host foo.org
How is Sympa determining the domain for the list addresses? Could it be
just the name of the subdirectory? This is the only thing I have not
tried yet.
I could not find a clear answer/specification for this in the reference
manual. If I overlooked this, I am sorry. Please tell me the section
then.
Thanks,
Paul
