I am generating lists in a family for sending announcements to groups of users as defined by some SQL query. Once the list is finished with I want to get rid of it completely, but when I run
sympa.pl --purge_list=listname
the list is not purged but put in state family_closed so still exists. In order to really get rid of the list I then remove entries from the admin_table and delete the list directory in ~sympa/expl. This doesn't feel like the right thing to do. Is there a reason why --purge_list doesn't really purge a family list? wwsympa.fcgi allows lists in state family_closed to be purged but I want to do it from a script.
Thank you very much.
