Actualy we have a feature that prevents loops for commands sent to Sympa, see <http://www.sympa.org/manualtest/conf-parameters/part3?s=loop#loop_prevention>

Roger, please feel free to describe the way majordomo handles that here : https://sourcesup.cru.fr/tracker/?group_id=23&atid=170&func=detail&aid=469

Sounds good -- but that's not the feature.

The feature is that I can restrict a user to 5 posts in a day (for instance).
The idea would be to apply the loop_command_xx parameters to message submission in mailing lists. You would have the desired behavior setting the following parameters :

## maximum = 5 posts
loop_list_message_max 5

## The restricted period is 1 day=86400sec
loop_list_message_sampling_delay 86400

The other option is to create a completely new parameter, at the list level.
