For upgrade sake, you should never ever customize scenarios or
templates in the bin/etc/ directory. Sympa has some search rules for
all custumizeable elements. Scenario will be searched in the following
order :
1. ~sympa/expl/mylist/scenari/send.x (if in a list context)
2. ~sympa/etc/family/listfamily/scenari/send.x (if the list belong to a family)
3. ~sympa/etc/myrobot/scenari/send.x (if in a virtual robot context)
4. ~sympa/etc/scenari/send.x (you should copy your send scenario HERE)
5. ~sympa/bin/etc/scenari/send.x (read only directory)
I am trying to instantiate a test family called test_family which will use a send scenario called test. Suspecting that 2. above should read
~sympa/etc/families/listfamily/scenari/send.x, I created
~sympa/etc/families/test_family/scenari/send.test, but also (by creating
a symbolic link from family->families)
~sympa/etc/family/test_family/scenari/send.test. Either way I get
"Unable to open scenario file send.test" when I try to instantiate the
family.
I have looked in the code (5.3.4) but I can't see where the list family's scenari directory is searched. _load_scenario_file appears to only look in 1, 3, 4 & 5. In view of what Olivier said above and what it says in the documentation about families providing a way of customizing scenari, I am sure I must be missing something, but where should I put send.test if I want it to be just for use by the family?
Thank you in anticipation.
