Hi!

When using LDAP as a authentication backend, Sympa (nor any other application) do NOT retreive password from LDAP server but Sympa try to bind to the LDAP server usnig user credential. What ever is the backend used by the LDAP server, the server return a code for success or authentication error. The password verification is performed by the LDAP server.

Hop this is clear.
