And you'll be right. An option is highlighted when its value changed in 
the config files. It appears that fields pre-filled with default values 
(as any drop-down menu is) are saved when the user saves its changes.
This means the defaults are consequently written in the config files. If 
these defaults change later, there is a risk that these changes aren't 
applied to all lists ; indeed, if a list has a value defined in its 
config file, this value prevails on defaults.
We must change this soon.

You didn't miss something, but I guess we did. This problem is recent 
and will be fixed asap. No need to fill a bug report, though : we 
already have one. ;)
