That's basically like our installation (more like 1000 lists, but still 450K subscriptions), and we're running it on an aging P4 1.8GHz with 1GB RAM with MySQL on FreeBSD, and are seeing only minor limitations from the processor. We're about to upgrade the machine, but not primarily for CPU reasons. You should have no problem.

250k subscribers, 2200 lists here. We run Sympa on a Sun V20z (dual 1.8G Opterons) with 2GB of RAM. Works quite fine.
