Having said that, this one doesn't look like bad HTML from Yahoo, it looks like a message originally sent from MS Outlook, but somehow the MHonarc conversion strips out the body. Very strange.

Here you go.

It turns out that this seems to have been reported to the mhonarc bug tracking system, but nothing has been done about it. YahooGroups apparantly generates some really badly formed HTML - that Mhonarc simply ignores

I haven't found a work-around yet, so any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Miles,

Could you please provide samples of such problematic messages with both the original message and the generated HTML page.

I just migrated a list from Yahoo Groups to Sympa. Went fairly smoothly - though it was sort of a pain having to manually set each user's reception mode for lack of an easy import mechanism.

Anyway... the one thing that really hasn't worked completely is migrating the archives.

The steps:
- used yahoo2mbox.pl (wonderful script!) to suck the archives out of yahoo into an mbox file
- used mbox2sympa.pl to generate log files from the mbox file
- used arc2webarc.pl to burst the log files, create the monthly archive directories, and populate the arctxt subdirectories
- went into the wwsympa admin page and ran "rebuild archives" for the list

This seems to have created all the html files and indices, and such, BUT.....

A goodly number of the resulting archive pages have empty bodies. The headers are there, and there are bodies in the source message files, but mhonarc seems to have created html pages with no message body.

Any thoughts, suggestions, etc.?
