I'm not quite sure about it. The stats I want to gather are powerful if
you can relate them to other data. E.g. looking at the load-graph which
shows a high load, checking the cpu-graph, which is idle, looking at
IO-stats, which show lots of disk-io and then realizing that sympa busy
archiving 1000 mails......
You just need the big picture. Something isolated in sympa would be
nice, but fail short of what I need.

Could be interesting, but is something different that what I have in mind.

I have been running a munin-stats-Script for a week and dare to attach
the result. The interesting issue was the number of mails in the
outgoing-spool. When I saw it on monday I started investigating and
realized that those messages were all to be archieved, but the
archive-daemon wasn't running. I'll file a bug-report regarding that
issue, probably a race-condition put the task "delete message X from
archive" in the spool after it was already deleted and archived went
bang when that message could not be found...

Well, using my script I can connect it to nagios easily, creating an
alert when more than e.g. 200 messages are in the outgoing-spool. It's
amazing that the failing archieved wasn't discovered for three days.

I did another script today, which has been running for less than an
hour, so there is nothing to show. If anyone is interested, I provide
more information in a few days.
