Hello,
I have installed a new SYMPA (sympa-5.1.2). If I start (first time the new
empty System) sympa.pl,
I become:
Subject: sympa_died
Unable to execute SQL statement UPDATE subscriber_table SET subscribed_subscriber='1' WHERE ((included_subscriber IS NULL OR included_subscriber!='1') AND (subscribed_subscriber IS NULL OR subscribed_subscriber!='1')) : Server message number=257 severity=16 state=1 line=1 server=themis_sql_server text=Implicit conversion from datatype 'VARCHAR' to 'NUMERIC' is not allowed. Use the CONVERT function to run this query.
And sympa.pl ended.
But Your definition of the table subscriber_table is:
subscribed_subscriber numeric(18,0) null ,
included_subscriber numeric(18,0) null
Why ist this UPDATE-statement failed? Why is CONVERT function necessary (by
the first start)?
