Is there a way to use a SSL/TLS-protected connection when querying LDAP for a list's subscribers using include_ldap_query? I tried specifying the host as "ldap.foo.bar:636" but that doesn't appear to work. Should that be working just fine, indicating my problem lies elsewhere, or does include_ldap_query only support LDAP and not LDAPS?
LDAPS as external data source been added recently. you can fetch it from CVS distribution (dev branch). You can run the dev version or wait for it as a release and use stunnel as a temporary solution.
Serge,
Thanks much for the quick reply! It looks like all the important bits were added to List.pm revision 1.642 and 1.643, so I might just diff those against standard 5.2 and run a local fork (5.2 + LDAPS for include_ldap_query) for a short time, or, as you suggest, run stunnel on localhost. I do have some speed concerns about stunnel since it takes about an hour to pull down the subscribers (7543 of them) for one of our test LDAP lists over stunnel; the very same query done with /usr/bin/ldapsearch only takes about 7 minutes. I'll try both options out and see how they match up.
Thanks again,
Jeff
