You should create a list template, based on the config of your sample list. You should create an /home/sympa/etc/create_list_templates/yourtpl/ directory. This directory should contain the following files :
You can hide your create_list_template on Sympa web creation form, by editing the create_list.conf config file as follows :
yourtpl hidden
* read

Example use of this would be a list owner saying that that need N new lists configured in the same way as a list they already own - a bit less formal than the family mechanism.

Alternatively what is the easiest way for me to set up lists with the same options as an existing list?  We're currently running  5.1.2
