Hi,

just wanted to let you know that I installed Sympa 5.0.1 on RHEL 4
without any (major) problems.
I just checked the system, I did not install GD.
Where possible I used the normal RHEL 4 RPMS. I only installed the perl
packages from CPAN.
Which version of the template toolkit are you using? I installed
Template-Toolkit-2.14.

| I checked the path and GD.so is there. Is there any version

| Another question probably for Sympa developers, what's is the prefered
| environment for Sympa? Does it prefer Dibian based distribution more
| than Redhat based distribution? It seems Sympa is easily installed
| only on certain platforms. 2 years ago, I experienced the similar
| problem on RH 8+perl 5.8.0. I spend 2 weeks and could not install it
| and later installed it easily and successfully  on RH7.3+perl 5.6.0
