Hello

Does any one install Sympa 5.0.1/5.1b successfully on Redhat
Enterprise Linux 4?
I was stuck at Template-toolkit, it requires GD::text. I could not
installed GD fmro CPAN, so I installed GD from source and per-GD from
RPM. and can not compile GD::Text in CPAN,

/usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.5/i386-linux-thread-multi/auto/GD/GD.so'
for module GD:
/usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.5/i386-linux-thread-multi/auto/GD/GD.so:
undefined symbol: gdImagePngPtrEx at
/usr/lib/perl5/5.8.5/i386-linux-thread-multi/DynaLoader.pm line 230.

I checked the path and GD.so is there. Is there any version
requirement? My perl is 5.8.5

Another question probably for Sympa developers, what's is the prefered
environment for Sympa? Does it prefer Dibian based distribution more
than Redhat based distribution? It seems Sympa is easily installed
only on certain platforms. 2 years ago, I experienced the similar
problem on RH 8+perl 5.8.0. I spend 2 weeks and could not install it
and later installed it easily and successfully on RH7.3+perl 5.6.0

Thanks for any advice!

Garuda
